At the begin­ning of June, the respon­si­ble bodies of Corint Media deci­ded on an amend­ment to the rights manage­ment con­tract for press publishers. The back­ground to this is the Act on the Adapt­a­ti­on of Copy­right Law to the Requi­re­ments of the Digi­tal Sin­gle Mar­ket, which was pas­sed at the end of May 2021. Part of the law is, among other things, a new regu­la­ti­on of the press publishers’ right. The modi­fied rights manage­ment con­tract gives rights hol­ders the oppor­tu­ni­ty to com­mis­si­on Corint Media with the coll­ec­ti­ve enforce­ment of their new press publishers’ right in rela­ti­on to sel­ec­ted, important infor­ma­ti­on socie­ty ser­vices.
